Russia and AIDS
Russia has twice the AIDS infection rate per capita that America has, triple that of France.
Yet, Russia reports only 1/3 its actual number of AIDS infections, and the head of the Russian Orthodox Church recently called Western-funded non-governmental organizations doing AIDS work immoral.
Russia has a population in demographic crisis, expected to as much as halve in the next century.
Yet, President Putin made no mention of AIDS in his state-of-the-union address and the city legislature in Moscow, which has the highest rate of HIV infection in Russia, accused foreign anti-AIDS NGOs of fueling the epidemic.
And President Putin is obviously doing the right thing in facilitating the total destruction of the Russian population, since his public approval rating is "rock solid" at 70%. So many Russians can't be wrong, right?
