Here's an odd turn of events: The article "Spare Organs" which LR previously translated has disappeared from the Novaya Gazeta website. If you click on the link where it used to be located, you get an error message. Our translator cannot find it anywhere on the NG site. However, it has been republished in Russian on various sites, including here. Well, maybe not so odd, given that it is Russia. We have written to NG in search of an explanation.

UPDATE: Our translator finally found the article on NG. Here it is. Looks like this is just a standard Russian S.N.A.F.U. to which the NG editors are not immune. They do a great piece of reporting then, perhaps totally unintentionally, bury it from the world's eyes. And so it goes in Russia.
