NB: The comments of La Russophobe's own Kim Zigfeld appear on the letters page of today's edition of the Moscow Times, based on a post in this blog.

It seems strange that you would be boasting so pompously about being published in the Moscow Times (I take it the London Times aren't considering your correspondence) only a couple of months after you were unceremoniously booted out of their forum for agressive conduct. For aggressive conduct read your propensity to insult anybody with whom you do not agree. Considering the forum administrator, I happen to know, sits about twenty yards away from the letters editor, I am fairly sure they know perfectly who you are. The chances are that they published your letter as the standard weekly crackpot submsission; the same way they used to do with Eric Kraus.

It seems strange you would be mentioning being "booted out" of the MT forum when they have just published my letter to the editor. Jealous, little boy?

If you know the editors, please do have them send an e-mail to La Russophobe indicating that they published her letter as a joke. She'll be happy to blog it. Meanwhile, since you have such respect among them, La Russophobe assumes that your views will be appearing in the paper soon, in non-joke form of course. right, Reithykins?

REITHY: By the way, just out of idle curiosity, I suppose you think it was somehow "shameful" when Solzhenitisn got himself kicked out of the USSR for criticizing it, right? Figures, since you are a Neo-Soviet man. Just goes to show how different we are: La Russophobe thinks that was a great badge of honor for Alexander. But then, that's just her. You probably wouldn't understand given that you've never taken any kind of risk or done anything that provoked any passion in anyone. ;)

As your incessant hissy fits seems to demonstrate amply, I have raised your excitable hackles on regular occassions. Though admittedly that's hardly a great feat.

If you had half a brain you'd realize that, in fact, you haven't, since although I could ban you from this blog I haven't done so. Try to think a bit before you write, it might improve your reputation.

Reith, you are rather shamefully ignorant of the facts you discuss or else even more shamefully dishonest in misreporting them. Just before Kim was "booted out" of the Moscow Times forum, as you put it, she posted a scathing attack on the paper's firing of Pavel Felgenhaur; what's more, several other commenters were "booted out" of the forum for launching pornographic personal attacks on her, to which she merely responded. That response was then used as a pretext to "boot her out" and her letter to the editor has been published only after the editor who presided over the "booting" (and the firing of Felgenhaur) left the paper this week -- an event to which, for all you know, Kim's comments have perhaps even contributed. So, not only are you wrong in thinking that she is somehow ashamed of being booted out of that forum, you're not even accurately characterizing the circumstances. As far as I know, the MT has still not published any letters to the editor about the Felgenhaur situation, but perhaps that now will change.

GOMAVSGO: It's quite true that La Russophobe has been ill-treated by both the MT and the NYT, so thanks for making note of it and educating clueless REITH. For the record, she still considers that both institutions have a certain amount of value where Russia is concerned, and is big enough to maintain them on her source list and to cite them in the blog. For it's part, the MT is big enough to see past our differences as well, hence publishing her letter. It seems that the only one who isn't is petty, narrow-minded, Neo-Soviet, jealous little REITH. But, kind-hearted soul that she is, La Russophobe keeps him around too. ;)

What a suprise, no response from ignorant, cowardly little REITH when the facts become known, much less any apology. What a dork.
