Not to worry, younger Russians have a valuable resource in their grandparents who will help them adjust to Salinist conditions again. They can pass samzidat to each other on the sidewalks like the good old days. The little fascist kids from Putin's goon squads aren't going to care either as long as they can download music.

Never has so much hope been wasted on such a sorry lot as Russians. They seem to be history's permanent losers. As long as they are housed and fed, they'll trade off any basic freedom required of them.

The sad little public protests with their handful of opposition regulars pretty much sums up how cowardly they are.

Tibetans monks have more guts.
