The Sunday Photos: Oborona Edition
Here they are. Lots of them. The fingernail off
of any one of them is a far greater patriot
than Vladimir Putin's entire Kremlin.
Aren't they beautiful? These women make
Maria Sharapova look like Baba Yaga.
These are scenes from Oborona's very first public
demonstration, taken from their website.

This is Hector,
Interesting pictures of Oborona, the mirror image of Otpor (Resistance) of Serbia, i.e a youth movement that advocates western style capitalism. The only difference between Otpor and Oborona is that Otpor can claim it never supported Milosevic as the Serbian nationalists were divided into pro-Milosevic nationalist radicals and pro-imperialist "moderate" nationalists. Oborona, on the other hand cannot. In Russia all forces of the bourgeoisie whether nationalist, fascist, or pro-western "democrat" stood together on the barricades with and hailed Boris Yeltsin and his oligarchs in 1991. Those who supported Yeltsin have no right to whine about the practices of Putin, Yeltsin's loyal successor.
Here's an article about Oborona's first anti-Putin rally where the unified much of the Russian rightists, including the fascist National-Bolsheviks. http://www.osac.gov/news/story.cfm?contentID=26675&print
