One Graphic is Worth a Thousand Screams

Read it and Weep: A Picture Book of Russian Failure
Source: BBC.

Russia leads the world . . . in HIV infection, nearly double
the rate of the US even though Russia is a dictatorship
run by the secret police and America is wildly free.

Russia leads the world . . . in chronic alcoholism.

America's population is soaring and no other country in the
graphic had three consecutive losing periods. Only Russia.

No wonder Venezuela and Russia are such good pals. They're
economic peers! Meanwhile, the civilized world leaves Russian
eating its dust.

Just as in Soviet times, Russia continues to spend shockingly
high sums on weapons to defend itself against imaginary "enemies"
while its population languishes in poverty. It still has universal
conscription while the American army is 100% volunteer.

this is constantine.

if you select particular statistics it would be easy to critique any country. for example, rank countries by energy reserves and consumption, debt levels, and overall military spending and you would think that the u.s. is a bankrupt military state out to get whatever energy it can because it's about to run out of its own energy.

CONSTANTINE:

Are you suggesting that because the Russian level of industry is so puny and pathetic that it doesn't need half the oil it can produce (roughly the same amount as America produces) while American needs it all and then some, that's a good point for Russia?

If so, you're a typical Russophile moron and a traitor to Russia, condemning Russians to do on working for $3/hour on average.

Are you suggesting that because nobody in their right mind wants to buy Russian debt or invest in Russia, while people flock in droves to America for such purposes, that's a good thing for Russia.?

If so, you're a typical Russophile moron and a traitor to Russia, condemning Russians to do on working for $3/hour on average.

Are you saying that financing the world's most powerful military by far is bad for America and that it's good for Russia to have a military that's dwarfed by America's and swamped in corruption and torture?

If so, you must have got your "brain" from K-mart. Was it a blue-light special?

As a Ukrainian, I feel deeply proud that one of your exhibits features my country. I keep my fingers crossed hoping that Paul Manafort, Yanukovych’s chief strategist, will incorporate your GDP chart into his promotional materials:)

Hello.

We have an interesting article posted on our website this month regarding conscription in Russia.

Would you be willing to spread the word about www.draftresistance.org? It's a site dedicated to shattering the myths surrounding the selective slavery system and building mass civil disobedience to stop the draft before it starts.

Our banner on a website, printing and posting the anti-draft flyer or just telling friends would help.

Thanks!

Scott Kohlhaas

PS. When it comes to conscription, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
