LR Dares to Wonder
In the 1930s, the USSR tried to cut an illicit deal with Germany so as to aggrandize itself at the expense of the rest of Europe and the United States and hopefully stave off invasion by the much more powerful country greatly interested in Russian territory.
History has shown what an hideous price the USSR paid for its outrageous conduct in the lead-up to World War II. In fact, it paid the ultimate price: it ceased to exist.
Now today, Russia is trying to cut an illicit deal with China so as to aggrandize itself at the expense of the rest of Europe and the United States and hopefully stave off invasion by the much more powerful country greatly interested in Russian territory.
What will replace Russia if it continues down this treacherous self-destructive path, as Russia replaced the USSR?
LR dares to wonder.

The flawed logic of russophobe never ceased to amaze me...

Are you talking about the gas pipe? If yes, then how is it "illicit?" Russians have a right to sell their gas to whoever they want to. If Europeans cannot guarantee stable purchases of gas, then another market will be found. Welcome to capitalism, my dear Sovok Russophobe:-)
And how is it at the expense of Europe and USA? This phrase does not make sense. Isn't it the other way around, that Europe and USA want cheap gas at the expense of Russia:-)
"Illicit" deal... hahaha..
I dare to wonder, is Russophobe simply stupid or just crazy? I think both.
There is a rumour in the Russian internet that this site was created by someone close to Kremlin to discredit any kind of russophobic opposition, since the arguments presented here are very flawed and stupid, to say the least.
No. I am talking about China and Russia siding with Iran against the United States, when Iran is one of America's most hated foes. I'm talking about that.
Dear LaRussophobe,
we are NOT siding with Iran, we just try to prevent turning Iran into another unstable and inpredictable country, and prevent another war near our borders.
USA interests are not sole in our world, you know. There are many countries, and each of them has its own interests
KARMEN: So, America can do with Chechnya just what Russia is doing with Iran and Hamas and Russians won't complain, right?
